Vintage Seiko Quartz V701-2A70 Limited Edition

An exceptionally distinctive vintage Seiko quartz wristwatch featuring an unusual Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department dial, an elegant gold-tone case and a finely detailed fluted bezel.

Made in Japan in February 1991

Dial: Mint condition, Extremely rare and original, Pale White Dial with Bold Roman Numerals. The Blue circular band reads METROPLOTAN POLICE DEPATMENT TOKYO. 

The dial features an outer minute track with fine rectangular blocks around the perimeter. Blue Hour and Minute hands with a slender gold tone second hand.

Crown: Ridged edge crown that matches the case with a black sapphire

Case: Excellent condition, Gold tone coin edged case with fine ridges and elongated lugs. Please note: the case is not gold or gold plated - please see pictures and video

Case Size:  Approximately 35mm including crown x 38mm from lug to lug

Case Thickness: 7mm

Crystal: Excellent condition, generally scratch free

Strap: 16mm Black Crocodile Imprinted Leather Strap with gold tone stainless steel buckle

Strap Length: strap will fit up to a 7.7" wrist

Its distinctive police department inscription sets it apart from conventional Seiko dress watches and makes it an intriguing example for collectors interested in watches with a specific institutional identity.

The original production quantity and exact circumstances of its association with the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department have not been established. It Is estimated that less than 2000 pieces were ever made.

Battery: – Already installed and ticking when it arrives ( New battery was installed on 29th October 2026)
